The room is just nice for 4 pax with 2 electric stove and a basin by the side. As there are limited restaurants within yongpyong.
We bought rice and dishes from L1 supermarket and cook a few meals during our stay. There is a refrigerator as well. As for the room, we took the Japanese style, sleeping on futons on the floor.
Floor is heated so we won't feel cold. It comes with futon and blanket and a small pillow which is beany. However it is not comfortable for our family, perhaps not used to sleeping on thin futons, body aching after a 3 nights stay. There are bowling and arcade at L1 along with the restaurants. There is a Turkish restaurant selling kebab, halal. The food pricing at the restaurants starts around won. There is a laundry room with washing machine and dryer.
We took bus fr Incheon to Yongpyong only during winter and its just in front of the resort. We read previous review they only allow to check in at 2 pm, but when we reach there at 12, the rooms are ready and we can check in and ready for skiing. The room is spacious and have extra mattress for ondol, the rooms very clean and warm. They also have kitchen and utensils available. We will definitely recommend this place. It was confusing at first because we thought this is the dragon valley hotel. Took us a bit to find this exact location. It is located at the tower condominium, the room is spacious and there's a kitchenette. It was snowing on the day that we arrived in Yongpyong ski resort at noon. It was a lovely memory and experience to our children. We took advantage of snowboarding at night. Next morning, went up to the Peak using Gondola. Before check out, took another round of snowboarding. What a nice holiday visit and sweet memory for our family especially for the children..
Its one of the best place to stay in yongpyong. I first tried skiing here, and was awed by its facilitites, I'm definitely coming back for another ski.
Its also centrally located so you can do a lot of things aside from skiing like go to karaoke, bowling, waterspa, sightseeing etc. Nice place for a holiday with family.
We stayed at YongPyong tower condo and they provided induction cooker, microwave, rice cooker, fridge, pots, pans, bowl and cutlery so you can always cook your own meal. There is a minimart and lots of eateries at the ground floor, super convenient. And it is just 3 mins walk to ski slope. I would come back to this place. We had a nice time at YongPyong Resort and the room was quite large.
My daughter and I was sick and I was glad that the front desk had basic medication such as tylenol. However, was quite dissappointed that the rooms does not provide any shampoo or bath soap and wifi signal was very weak, although our room was very near to the lobby. The resort has an english map and some staff could speak basic English but find that information in English is very lacking.
I understand their guests are mainly Koreans, but noticed that many are from Hong Kong, Singapore etc, hope they could improve on this. In trip, it is value for money. Abit confusing to find the resort, however it is quite near the ski resort. Selective eateries with the ski resort but they are decent prices. This hotel was in the perfect spot. We stayed 4 nights and the room was great with heated floors, a microwave, cooktop and kitchen utensils to cook.
The only con was the futons were so thin that it made no difference to just sleeping on the hard floor. It was uncomfortable for 4 nights especially when you are sore from skiing. It also surprised us that English was not well spoken at both the hotel or ski resort. I have no expectation of this resort expect that it is a condo type with no actual bed mattress on floor- korean style and I book during the shadow period , so it is value for money. The staff at lobby was friendly and responded to our toilet complaint immediately.
The room comes with a balcony with a view on some of the slopes - v nice. As for its location , it is easy walk to a small mall where there are about 4 or 5 eating outlet and a small mart selling all sort of snacks as well as ingredients for your cooking at the condo. It's take 3mins walking distance from resort to ski entrance. A supermarket and few restaurant in the tower. Room is clean with stable heater. We chose a korean style ondol sleep on the floor which is much comfortable than I thought.
The resort is not a luxury one but with everything you need, it is more than enough given that our main purpose is to ski. Just minutes to the ski place, which is good. Keep in mind to bring toiletories yourself since the resort does not provide and we could not find in the supermarket.
Very good. Affordable costs considering this is a high end premium vacation resort area. All your needs are here, and just steps away from the gondolas and facilities. Had a wonderful fun family time at the ski resort and the Tower Condo was an excellent choice for us. Lovely hotel room that was spacious and comfortable. Small kitchenette to do light cooking. Only showers no bathtub. Location was superb, less than 5 Mins slopes.
Less flexible staff that do not allow early check-in so if you take bus from Seoul. Be prepared till wait till 2pm exactly to check in. As it was more like a apartment style, no toiletries were given and no large towels.
